The model is one step down from the MOMENTUM True Wireless 2. There are fewer features, but the price is noticeably lower. The most interesting thing is that Sennheiser CX 400 True Wireless uses the same 7-mm dynamic drivers as in the more expensive older brother: they play cleanly, sonically, with soul and reasonable bass notes. The headphones have Bluetooth 5.1 and support SBC, AAC and aptX codecs.
The headphones have an impressive battery life. The headphones will hold up to 7 hours on a single charge, and with the included charging case, the battery life increases to 20 hours. Moreover, the headphones can be charged quickly: the headphones will work for an hour if they are left in the case for only 10 minutes.
Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3
Full-size headphones with active noise cancelling are made of quality materials, the finish is made of genuine leather, and the construction is based on metal. At the same time Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3 has a foldable design: the headphones can be carried in a fabric case.
The headphones have a clear sound without embellishing the tracks: they play music in a natural style and do not try to add extra. This means that sincere emotions and feelings are guaranteed. It remains to add that there is support for all necessary codecs: AAC, SBC, aptX and aptX Low Latency.
The ear cushions are soft, pleasant, the fit on the head is comfortable, so that the comfortable position for the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3 can be chosen very quickly. Among the useful features is the automatic pause: if you move the headphones to the side, the music pauses. If you put them back on, the song will play again.
Active noise cancelling is effective against the hum of the subway or the shouts of office colleagues. And there are several modes to choose from, so you can stay aware of your surroundings and not lose yourself completely.
All controls in the headphones are placed on the right cup: there are keys for starting Bluetooth connection, calling voice assistant, volume control and track switching.
In addition to the wireless connection via Bluetooth, you can also use a wired method via a 3.5mm jack. You can also find USB Type-C on the case, which is used to recharge the headphones in 3 hours. Battery life is about 20 hours.
Sennheiser HD 450BT
The headphones stand out because of their amazing flexibility: you can’t break the headband by twisting it around on purpose. The folding housing is made of plastic, the ear cushions are replaceable – over time you can replace them without much difficulty.
In terms of codecs, the basic model is not inferior to the older ones: AAC, SBC, aptX and aptX Low Latency. There is also an active noise cancelling system, and in addition to wireless connection via Bluetooth 5.0 you can use the usual wire, connecting through a 3.5-mm “jack”.
As for the sound settings, the Sennheiser HD 450BT is primarily adapted for tracks with an emphasis on bass and confident bass. But if you want you can change the style of sound of the headphones, if you play with the equalizer settings through the application Smart Control.
In terms of operating time, everything is at a good level, one charge lasts for almost 30 hours of work with active noise cancelling.
Sennheiser PXC 550-II
Large closed-ear headphones with a folding design, the shell is made of synthetic leather and plastic. The headband is soft, the ear cushions are voluminous – in summer it might be hot. The buttons and connectors are placed on the right cup: in addition to the buttons there is a microUSB port for charging and a 2,5mm jack, if you want to connect to the wire. Track control in Sennheiser PXC 550-II is carried out by gestures on the touch pad.
